Frequently asked questions

I want to change the brightness level of my lighting, how should I do that?

Changing the lighting brightness is done by using the touch sensor located on the bottom right of your mirror. Holding your finger for less then 1 second and release ("short press"). The lighting will change it's brightness on every "press" in a sequence of 100% > 75% > 50% > 25% > OFF > 100% > 75%…
Yes. Changing the lighting color is done by using the touch sensor located on the bottom right of your mirror. Holding your finger for more than 3 seconds ("Long Press") will start the color change function. The lighting color will change as long as you "press" in the range of "Warm White" (~2700K) to "Cool White" (~6500K).
Yes. The mirror's lighting controller will save the last state of your lighting, brightness level and color, once the power is cut off. Once you turn the power back on the lighting will light on with the same last settings.
No. We do not recommend using a mirror lighting as the only source of light in a bathroom. We recommend having overhead lighting in addition to mirror lighting to create ideal conditions.
No. At this time the lighting is controlled by the touch sensor only.
If your mirror is connected to a switched power outlet please make sure the switch is in its ON position. Use the touch sensor on the bottom of the mirror to turn on the lighting.
The mirror's lighting controller has a memory for last settings… if you switch off the mirror's lighting using the touch sensor on the bottom of the mirror it will stay OFF even if you switched off and back on your bathroom light switch.
Please contact support. More info on how-to contact support can be found on this website under the "support" section.

We highly recommend connecting your mirror to an Un-Switched power outlet. This way you will be able to switch your screen on and off instantly using the remote control. The screen got an internal battery that keeps the screen in hibernate mode for couple of hours. Once you connect your mirror to a Switched power outlet please make sure the power is on for at least 3 hours a day. this way the screen will boot up in less then 3 seconds. Once the battery is out of power it will take up to 40 seconds for the screen to boot.
No. At this time it is only possible to stream audio to the mirror via Bluetooth.

The internet radio stream volume can be adjusted by using the mirror's remote control volume buttons. Your smartphone Bluetooth audio stream volume can be adjusted using your smartphone's volume buttons.
This is done automatically. Once internet radio station is playing connect your smartphone via Bluetooth to the mirror ("ad notam BT"). Playing music from your Smartphone will automatically mute the current internet radio stream and you'll be able to listen to your smartphone music. Once you stop / pause your Smartphone's music the Internet radio stream will play again in about 5 seconds.

This might happen if:

- Your mirror's Wi-Fi signal is too low or suffering bad reception. Please try to add a Wi-Fi Range Extender, Wi-Fi Repeater or Wi-Fi PLC Adapter. Install those devices near or inside your bathroom.

- Your Internet connection is too slow to stream the radio stations audio. The Internet Radio stations are mostly streaming at 128Kbps. It might be that your Internet Service Provider, at certain times, is providing you with a slower rate then expected. Please try to use your smartphone as a "hotspot", connect your mirror to it and see if the same radio station is playing better.

- Your Wi-Fi system is too crowded (too many users). Try to minimize the amount of devices that are connected to your Wi-Fi network. That includes smartphones, Tablets, Laptops, Smart TVs, network players such AppleTV or Amazon Fire TV…

- A specific Internet radio station is having some streaming issues. Select another Internet radio station and see if it plays without "buffering". Browse to your "My Account" page using your smartphone or laptop. On the radio widget you'll see a small "speaker" icon next to your Internet radio station. Press the icon to listen to this station on your device while connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Internet radio stations are using different audio codecs. It might be that the specific Internet radio station is not streaming at all at the moment… For reporting difficulties playing a specific Internet radio station please contact support. More info on how-to contact support can be found on this website under the "support" section.

There were some reports that the BT Audio sound level using iPhone 6 / 7 is high at lowest iPhone volume level. We've managed to track this issue and looks as it appears on iPhones 6 / 7 only after updating the iOS 10.x We are currently working to fix this issue and it will be released on one of the upcoming software updates. Meanwhile, till this software update is released, please try to do the followings:

- In iPhone "Settings" scroll down and select "Music".

- Scroll down and in "EQ" select "Small Speakers"

- Select "Sound Check" to "ON" This will reduce the minimum volume of your iPhone device.

On some installations the mirror will vibrate against a tiled wall surface causing a "buzzing" sound. In order to eliminate that please use two small self-adhesive cork / rubber pads, about 1mm thick, and attach them to the wall just behind the bottom mirror corners. The self-adhesive pads should keep the mirror's frame from touching the tiled wall.
